September 2019 Prayer Letter

Dear Friends of CrossRoads,

This month marks a lot of firsts for CrossRoads: On August 1st CrossRoads became a medical clinic. This is a huge step, as we are now licensed to offer the abortion pill reversal and limited obstetric ultrasound. Thank you for praying this into existence! We are also thankful for the Knights of Columbus, who have made it possible for us to purchase a portable ultrasound machine. Please come and celebrate the Lord's goodness and generosity in providing through His people. Join us on September 15 at 10:30am, following the 9:30 Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes, Greenwood. Utilizing ultrasound will have a huge impact on our ministry. Statistically only 25% of abortion-minded women choose life after speaking with a counselor at a pregnancy care center. For those women who see their babies on an ultrasound screen the percentage rises to over 90. Please pray that God would use this machine to save lives.

Greenwood's first Embrace Grace group is scheduled to start on Thursday. This is a support/discipleship group for pregnant singles. Making Embrace Grace available in our community is a huge step towards our vision that no young woman would feel so alone in her unplanned pregnancy, that she would consider abortion her only option. We are excited that Greenwood Baptist is able to offer this weekly course simultaneously in Spanish and English. Please pray for the leaders, that Christ would be glorified in and through them. The participants are called "blooms". Please pray that they would choose to follow Christ and grow in Him, and thereby learn to make good decisions for their babies. The Embrace Grace program is non-denominational. Feel free to invite others to join. Please pray for more groups to get started.

Please mark your calendars for Oct. 22. We would love to welcome you to our banquet at Rice Memorial at 6:00pm. Expect to hear more details soon.

In Christ,
Kerstin Hering
